Of what use is Jesus
in this time
of kills in cafes and parliaments stormed,
of cartoonist corpses,
and supermarket slaughter.
No use on the face of it, except,
even for those who
would deny or deride him,
he stands (since this is a matter of feet not face)
as he has always stood.
And he marches.
