Heaven

Heaven say some
is rest and peace.
Others conjure it as dance.
I think it will be
a place
where incredulity
is both stranger
and intimate,
each day
an eternity of surprise
and delight
at the truth
that God’s
passion
surpasses
our doubt and fear and insecurity,
andin the surpassing
does not obliterate them as unworthy
but accommodates and encompasses,
heals and transforms,
so that incredulity lives alongside certitude
in the circle of love
